The Russian government has set a fee for the use of federal sites for non-capital garages, the so-called “shells”. This is reported on October 18 Rosreestr…
“Taking into account the fact that a land plot for a non-capital garage is not registered as ownership or lease, the Resolution established the amount of payment that corresponds to the amount of land tax, calculated taking into account the area of the site occupied by a non-capital garage,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that for the placement of non-capital garages, the Cabinet of Ministers has chosen the minimum amount of payment in order to minimize the costs of the owners of “shell garages”.
Rosreestr recalled that on September 1, 2021, the law “on garage amnesty” came into force, which simplified the mechanism for registering rights to capital garages, and also solved the problem of registering land with “shell garages” located on it.
The simplified procedure for obtaining land under garages in ownership will apply to those whose garages were built before December 2004. In the simplified procedure provided by law, it will be possible to register capital garages, located both separately and standing in one row, having common walls, a roof and communications.
The law also applies to non-capital buildings, in particular metal welded garages, if the land for them is allocated to a garage cooperative and is rented or unrestricted by it.

The cost of owning a car in subsequent years after the purchase will amount to about 200-250 thousand rubles.
