The central Government has recognized in a response registered in the Congress of Deputies that 35% of gender violence courts have excess workloads. These are 27 of these organizations out of the 77 existing ones, which have workloads that exceed their capacity.
Among the most saturated courts in the country is that of Murcia, which has a saturation of 143%. Despite the large percentage, it does not have the record for occupancy: the Palma court for gender violence is the most saturated in Spain, with a 162% excess. It is followed by Villarreal, with 158%, Almería and Málaga, both with 150%, and Alcalá de Henares, with 145%.
In addition to the 27 organizations, there are another 20 of the total of 77 modules counted that are at 30% of their capacity.
The Government thus responded to a question registered by the representative of the Sumar Parliamentary Group Engracia Rivera (IU) in the Lower House in which she questioned whether the unequal distribution of the exclusive courts for violence against women entails an inequality in the comprehensive care of women. victim.
In the letter, the Government recalls that since the entry into force, on June 29, 2005, of Organic Law 1/2004, of December 28, a total of 121 exclusive Violence against Women Courts have been created and constituted. and there are 328 compatibles in the rest of the judicial districts.
And, as indicated, in compliance with this legal mandate, it continues with the gradual implementation of violence against women courts along with compatibility.
