Last weekend the long-awaited show of the franchise was launched fallout for the Prime Video platform, which was well received by specialized critics and fans, and that is precisely because it does not seek to emulate the events of the games, but is its own story with unique characters. With this reception it is expected that there will be confirmation for the second season, and those who were waiting for the announcement must be happy with what was revealed a few days ago.
According to what has been reported, the California Film Commission has given $152 million in tax incentives to various television shows, and the second season of this series is included in that budget list. So yes, they were already thinking about a new wave of episodes long before the first episode had been released, and that means they expected good reviews in advance.
In fact, the show's executive producer, Jonathan Nolanwho co-wrote many of his brother's films Christopher Nolanhas spoken about the appreciation he has for this game franchise:
I didn't know much about it and was in the mood for distraction. I think Chris had commissioned me to write The Dark Knight Rises and therefore if that movie was delayed a bit, it was probably in part because of Fallout 3.
Here is its synopsis:
Fallout is a science-fiction adventure drama series based on one of the best-known video game franchises of all time. We are placed in a world where almost nothing remains, 200 years after the nuclear apocalypse that occurred in the year 2077. The peaceful inhabitants of a comfortable anti-nuclear shelter are forced to return to the surface.
Above, a bleak world awaits them, incredibly complex and populated, joyfully strange and highly violent. It is also a retro-futuristic universe that has preserved the typical aesthetics of the 50s. What then will become of these inhabitants accustomed to living in underground bunkers where they were protected from radiation, mutants and bandits?
Remember that all episodes of the series are now available on Prime Video.

Editor's note: At this point I still haven't finished the series, but up to this point I've liked it even though I haven't finished any installment of the games. That says a lot, since they are aiming at a general level and are not just narrowing down to niches.
