The Andalusian Hunting Federation (FAC) has proposed to the Economy, Finance and European Funds Commission of the Andalusian Parliament that the Junta de Andalucía apply tax credits on registration fees to those Andalusian hunting reserves that carry out habitat improvements, such as the installation of water and food supplementation points, which facilitate the conservation of fauna, especially during the summer.
The president of the Andalusian federated body, José María Mancheño, appeared yesterday afternoon in the Commission to prepare the Budget Bill of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia for the year 2025, in which he proposed to the Board a battery of measures aimed at enhancing, facilitate and increase loyalty in hunting and promote knowledge and scientific research applied to hunting.
In relation to this last objective, the Andalusian Hunting Federation also proposed the total temporary bonus in the amount of hunting registration fees, provided for in the Andalusian Fees Law, for those hunting reserves that are attached to the Hunting Observatory of the Artemisan Foundationas well as any scientific project for tracking and monitoring wildlife led by the University or the Andalusian environmental administration.

Promotion and protection of employment
According to the latest studies carried out regarding the economic and social impact of hunting in Andalusia, contained in the Socio-Economic Report on Hunting in Spain prepared by Deloitte for the Artemisan Foundation, hunting contributes to the Andalusian GDP with a total of 1,712 million euros and generates 49,000 direct and indirect jobs per year in Andalusia.
Given these data, which are complemented by a fiscal return generated by hunting activity of 162 million euros per year, the Andalusian Hunting Federation proposes the establishment of direct aid for the creation and maintenance of hunting guard employment and that this measure be pick up at the Board’s programs intended to encourage hiring by companies and employing entities.
“Hunting has a relevant social, economic and environmental importance in Andalusia, being the backbone of our society and a source of wealth and employment, especially in rural areas,” said José María Mancheño, who adds that “taking into account that in rural development strategies It is committed to the use of available resources, the role of hunting exploitation cannot be ignored in any case. That is why we have presented this battery of sensible, argued, rigorous proposals whose implementation would mean strong support from the Andalusian Government to the more than 200,000 Andalusian hunters.
