Volunteers who work in the work of cleaning of the streets devastated by floods caused by the DANA in the province of Valencia have had an emotional moment this Saturday, interrupting this exhausting work for a few minutes while mired in the mud to sing he hymn of the Valencian Community.

In this way, the musical piece by Maestro Serrano, which is now celebrating its century, has served to instill morale in the municipality of Algemesi between the displaced and the neighbors directly affected by the catastrophe, by singing verses that have reinforced their brotherhood in the most adverse circumstances they have known.

The solidarity of the Valencian people has exceeded all forecasts with an estimate of more than one hundred thousand people who have traveled to the area devastated by the storm to help those affected, according to the figure released by the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón.

Given the difficulties of access and the fact that the roads are restricted to the circulation exclusively of emergency services and military vehicles, many of the volunteers have formed caravans to go on foot from distances of many kilometers on a historical pilgrimage.
