This came in a statement issued by the council regarding the regulation of fatwas in society in light of the violations and violations it observed in the issuance of some social media pioneers to the legal fatwa without a license or permit, and the audacity to issue legal rulings in religious, social, family and other issues, especially with regard to atonement and exploitation The texts of religion encroach on others, which leads to the spread of hatred, sectarianism, infidels, extremism and extremism, and contradicts the tolerance of the true Islamic religion, and is contrary to the national policies of the UAE, which emphasizes the values of tolerance, coexistence and moderation.

The government issued Cabinet Resolution No. 31 of 2017 and its amendments regarding the establishment of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa to be the only body in the country authorized to issue public Sharia fatwas, and no one has the right to An entity or individual may express its opinion on these issues, and one of its original functions is to authorize and authorize the practice of legal fatwas in the state.
The resolution stipulated that: “The various media organizations and institutions, websites on the Internet, and users of social media in the country are obligated to obtain a permit from the Council before publishing Sharia fatwas, hosting people for Sharia fatwas, or organizing programs for Sharia fatwas.” Any natural or legal person who does not have a license or official permit from the Council to issue or publish Sharia fatwas in the country” (Article No.: “4” Resolution “31” of 2017 AD regarding the establishment of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwas).
