Counselor Mortada Mansour, president of the Egyptian Football Club, Zamalek, confirmed that Frenchman Patrice Carteron will continue to head the team’s technical management in the coming period.
Mortada Mansour said in a press conference, that the French coach gave everything he had with the team, and that the last match in which Zamalek drew 2/2 with Angolan Petro Atlético, in the first round of the group stage in the African Champions League, in which the team faced great misfortune, referring to That Carteron did his duty to the fullest.
He added that Gamal Abdel Hamid, a member of the board of directors, will head the team’s mission on the next trip to Angola to face the Angolan Sagrada team, scheduled for the 19th of this month, in the second round of the group stage matches in the African Championship.
He explained that the mission will head from Angola after the end of the match to Morocco in preparation for facing the Moroccan Wydad team in the third round of the same tournament.
He added that he was surprised by the decision of the previous committee of the club’s management regarding the placement of a purchase eligibility clause in the loan contract of Mohamed Sobhi, the team’s goalkeeper, and the future of goalkeepers in Egypt, for 25 million pounds.
He explained that Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed, the Zamalek player, will return to the team after the end of his current season with Future, stressing the player’s talent and the team’s need for his services.
He stressed that all loaned players will return to the white team at the end of the current season.
