Diabetics may complain of poor eyesight, thirst and nausea in the morning, doctors say
Doctors talked about the so-called dawn phenomenon in diabetics, due to which blood sugar levels rise in the morning. They named three main symptoms that occur in half of the people who have type 2 diabetes. About it informs “Medic Forum”.
Experts note that people suffering from diabetes may complain in the morning of blurred vision, intense thirst, and nausea. The fact is that in some patients, the body may not be able to naturally correct changes in insulin overnight, which is why the glucose level jumps sharply in the morning, which is bad for health.
People who experience the dawn phenomenon have an increased risk of complications from diabetes, including heart disease or kidney problems. In order to avoid this, doctors advise eating regularly and having snacks, taking responsibly the medication prescribed by the doctor, as well as monitoring and, if necessary, adjusting food and medication intake in case of increased activity levels.
Earlier, a dietitian at the Department of Nutritional Assistance at the National Research Center for Endocrinology, Elizaveta Vardanyan, said that fast food can be replaced with fermented milk products, cheese, nuts, fruits or berries, and a homemade whole-grain bread sandwich with cheese and vegetables can become a healthy alternative to a burger.
