The death toll from DANA in Valencia has risen to 215 while 78 people remain missing

There are already 223 people who have lost their lives due to the floods caused by the storm. As confirmed by the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, there are 215 deaths in Valencia. Of them, 208 already have an autopsy, 167 have been identified and 78 people are still missing.

This Friday, search teams in Lake Albufera found two lifeless bodies, as Europa Press has been able to confirm. In addition, the body of a 30-year-old woman has been located in the municipality of Pedralba. In this case, it was a relative of the victim who appeared at the Local Police headquarters to report the discovery of the body.

Precisely this Friday, the Devesa-Albufera service of the Valencia City Council has ordered the suspension of all navigation on the lake and its channels, except for that intended for rescue, inspection or cleaning tasks, to facilitate the in-depth search tasks for victims. , with the purpose of “maintaining security.”

Emergency personnel’s priority right now is to search for victims both in the Magro River and in the Rambla del Poyo, the mouth of the Túria and l’Albufera.

In addition, there is one person deceased in Andalusia and the confirmation of seven deaths in Castilla-La Mancha due to the storm ten days ago: six in Letur and one in Mira.
