“The committee requests that Ivanka Trump provide information for the investigation into the January 6 violence and its causes,” he said.
According to information gathered by committee members, Ivanka Trump was in the Oval Office when Donald Trump called then-Vice President Mike Pence to demand that he join her plan to stop Biden’s ratification.
In addition, several officials in the White House would have resorted to Ivanka Trump on “multiple occasions” to dissuade her father from his plans and make a call to stop the violence on Capitol Hill.

“The committee has identified no evidence that President Trump issued any order or took any other action to deploy the National Guard” to the Capitol, the statement said. Five people were killed and about 140 officers were attacked during the assault.
The committee was created by the president of the House of Representatives, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, and is made up of a majority of Democratic congressmen, although there are two Republican members -Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger- who are at odds with Trump.
Last Tuesday, said committee called four former Trump allies to testify, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
If they refuse, they could be held in contempt, as has happened so far with three former Trump aides: his former chief of staff Mark Meadows, former assistant attorney general Jeffrey Clark, and his former adviser and campaign manager Steve Bannon, who also faces charges. by criminal means.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected a request by Trump to keep some 700 documents about the assault on Capitol Hill hidden, opening the door for them to be turned over to the committee.
