The City Council of Cieza announced this week an investment of one and a half million euros to proceed with the execution of the last phase of the works of the new Ascoy wastewater collector, responsible for the historical problem of bad odors that the neighbors have been suffering who reside throughout the northern belt of the city.
The mayor, Pascual Lucas, and the Councilor for Finance, Antonio Martínez Real, pointed out that this project is part of an investment package with an amount of almost five million euros, and that it includes actions until the end of the legislature. Among them, actions for rural roads of 200,000 euros have been budgeted. Parks and gardens will also be remodeled with 450,000 euros.
The local government will also proceed to build a roof on the main stand of the La Arboleja football stadium with a budget of 100,000 euros, in addition to another 200,000 and 100,000 euros that will go to direct aid for the promotion of commerce, hospitality and sports clubs . “After the settlement of the 2021 Budget, the City Council continues to be in a situation of economic stability, despite the current circumstances we are experiencing,” explained the head of the Treasury Department.
