“The new location is perfect since it is very well connected with the camp” highlighted the Councilor for Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba
The Carthagineses and Romanos Festival fair will be installed this year on a plot of approximately 23,000 square meters, located next to the parking lot of the La Rambla Shopping Center, according to municipal sources in a statement.
This was agreed at the meeting held this Monday by the representatives of the Festival Federation, with its president, José Antonio Meca, at the head, together with the Councilor for Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba and technicians from the departments of Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Celebrations . Users of the fair will be able to get to the camp on foot, along the new boulevard that was built on Avenida del Cantón, and they will also be able to use the car parks of the La Rambla Shopping Centre.
«The fair could not be installed next to the festival site as it has been up to now due to the urban development of the area, but we think that the new location is perfect since it is very well connected with the camp and with the car parks. In addition, in the surroundings of the festive camp, more space is gained for the installation of the seasonal market and fundamental services such as Civil Protection, Firefighters or Police, ”said the Councilor for Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba. The Carthagineses and Romanos Festivals are recovering after two years of hiatus due to COVID-19 and will be held from September 16 to 25.
