Safer, with greater capacity and less polluting. This will be the new oven with which the Santa Lucía Glass Museum will have in two months, thanks to the City Council and the Autonomous Community, which will pay for this equipment to reactivate the site.
An electric home that does not generate emissions and enjoys all the security measures will replace the gas one, with an investment of 23,700 euros, of which the Community contributes 18,000.
The councilors of Commerce, Manuel Padín, and Employment, Irene Ruiz, visited the installation yesterday together with the general director of Consumption and Crafts of the Community, Sonia Moreno. “As soon as we received the request, we offered to collaborate. The oven was necessary for the Glass Museum to continue operating, since it was very difficult to maintain it with the previous one, which was obsolete”, said Padín. The new device will allow more and better demonstrations of glass work and increase the number of visits.
Likewise, the Department of Education will support the launch of school and institute excursions and educational projects to bring this tradition closer to the smallest of the municipality
