Genoa – I am 496 the new positives registered in Liguria in the last 24 hours (89 in Asl1, 78 in Asl2, 207 in Asl3, 50 in Asl 4 and 70 in Asl5) of which 2 with domicile not in Liguria. In total, 4,491 molecular and antigenic tests were performed. The positivity rate was 11.04%. On 2 September, 527 infections were confirmed.

There are 180 patients admitted to Ligurian hospitals, 9 fewer than on 2 September, of which 4 in intensive care. Within 24 hours, the death of a 92-year-old man, who died on 2 September at Villa Scassi, was recorded. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,548 people have died.

The situation in Italy

There are 17,668 new Covid cases in Italy in the last 24 hours, against the 19,160 of yesterday but above all the 21,805 of last Saturday. The processed swabs are 152,452 (yesterday 158,970) with a positivity rate that drops from 12.1% to 11.6%. The deaths are 48 (yesterday 91), for a total of 175,802 since the beginning of the pandemic. Intensive care units drop by 7 (yesterday -12) with 15 admissions per day, for a total of 188, while ordinary hospitalizations are 189 fewer (yesterday -143) for a total of 4,630. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The region with the highest number of cases is also today Lombardy with 2,511 infections, followed by Veneto (+2.041), Campania (+1.773), Lazio (+1.443) and Emilia Romagna (+1.366). The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 21,925,073. The discharged / healed in the last 24 hours are 29,816 (yesterday 32,876) for a total that rises to 21,141,090. The currently positive are 12,204 less (yesterday -13,809) and become 608,181 of which 603,363 in home isolation.
