Matt Reeves’ The Batman promises to present another plot and approach to the Bat Man, starring Robert Pattinson. Many have commented that it will be one of the darkest productions of the ‘Justiciero’, even the director and official synopsis say so.
The Batman will tell the beginnings of Bruce Wayne as the ‘Dark Knight’ and his approach to the corruption of Gotham City. Something that has raised the concern of fans is knowing that this darker version of Batman will also expose the relationship with the people closest to him.

We are talking about the deal with his butler and father image Alfred Pennyworth, played by the actor Andy Serkis. In the recent issue of Empire magazine due out this Thursday, December 23, Serkis revealed the following:
“Bruce is on this nihilistic journey, and they’ve parted ways… It’s gotten to the point where they hardly speak anymore. If they bump into the hallway, it’s a very cold and painful greeting. Now they almost live in separate worlds. “

It is curious and strange to know this, because Alfred was with Bruce since his parents were murdered in Crime Alley when he was just a child. Besides being like a father to him, he is a mentor and top tip when fighting as Batman.
A fact that anticipates this colder relationship between the two is the small dialogue that Alfred and Bruce Wayne have with the Batman suit in the official trailer of the film. “If this continues, it won’t be long before you have nothing left,” says Alfred. To which Batman responds: “I don’t care what happens to me.”

The film will present a young Bruce more rebellious and apparently more unconcerned with his well-being; therefore, we can interpret this estrangement between them. The Batman will hit theaters globally on March 4, 2022.
