The Ukrainian military said that the Russian Armed Forces began to use much more UAVs
The Russian military began to use many more drones during combat operations. This was stated by the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named Leva in an interview with the TV channel N-TV.
“They (Russia) began to use a lot more combat drones. This didn’t happen before. Or rather, there were attacks, but not on such a scale. Now it’s really scary,” he said.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces commander also emphasized the diversity of drones. The Lancet alone is used in several modifications with different types of warheads, the Ukrainian noted.
In turn, artilleryman Andrey Stavnichy said that drones often do not allow Ukrainian artillery to effectively support troops on the battlefield. According to him, the Russian Armed Forces “have a huge number of Zala and Orlan drones.” Stavnichy called Russian drones a problem.
Earlier it was reported that Russian reconnaissance drones have learned to overcome the Ukrainian electronic warfare system (EW) and are flying en masse to the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As stated, reconnaissance drones can fly 100 kilometers from the front line. This is evidenced by a missile attack on a military airport near the Dnieper, which was filmed by a drone.
