KT Racing – the developer of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown – is now promising a compensation for all players of the video game, after server problems compromised its launch.
Let us remember that the automotive MMO is currently in early access for those who purchased the special versions, giving the “early adopters” the chance to try the game before everyone else. Anyone who paid the extra money for this opportunity was, however, severely affected by server problems, which made the online game almost unplayable.
Words from the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown team
KT Racing says that about 96% of players can now successfully log in to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, after only 45% had managed to do so within hours of release. Stability is also said to have improved, but the team is working on a patch — due out soon — to help those who are “still experiencing occasional connection or login difficulties.”
“We understand the frustration this situation has caused, especially for those who purchased the Gold Edition to access the game early,” KT Racing wrote. “To express our gratitude for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience, We will offer a game compensation to all players involved once these issues are fully resolved.” Further details on compensation will be communicated at a later date.
“Be sure that we are optimizing continuously improve the game to deliver the experience you expect from Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. This is just the beginning of the journey!”.
We also know that the ratings for Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown speak of a merely decent game.
