Tesla continues to be the queen of electric around the world. Still, compared to its rivals it seems to be far behind on the pick-up segment: if on the one hand we see Ford and Rivian launch on the market (and obtain some success) the new F-150 Lightning and R1T, on the other we see that the car manufacturer led by Elon Musk continues to struggle with the Cybertruck. And after removing the manufacturing information just a few days ago, it looks like Tesla has decided to postpone production further of its electric pick-up in the first quarter of 2023.
Therefore, the production plans of the next Cybertruck change again: the US company had plans to build the first examples of its new electric pick-up by the end of this 2022, instead Reuters explains that the final decision is to postpone the start of the works early next year. Initially, the production of the model will be limited, only to be significantly increased in the following months. The exact reasons that led Tesla to opt for a new postponement are not clear, the only certainty is that for months the production of the Cybertruck slip without a proper deadline: after debuting in 2019, construction of the US electric pickup was scheduled for late 2021, then postponed to late 2022 and now early 2023.
