Russia and war: Swg survey
The Islamic origin of the terrible attack on the Crocus City Hall in Moscow is undoubted, but various theses have emerged regarding the alleged involvement of other parties. In fact, in the perception of Italian public opinion, only 37% are convinced that Isis-K acted autonomously.
However, almost no one believes that the Ukrainians were involved, as stated by Putin. Some (13%) claim that it was the Russian leader himself who favored the attack, while 11% point the finger at the Americans. Respondents are divided regarding the torture of arrested terrorists.
40% consider them unacceptable, despite the fact that they were responsible for a massacre. We find the majority of centre-left voters on this position. Another 45% consider the behavior of the Russian police and military to be 'understandable' in their own way, even if half of them 'exaggerated'.
Following this attack, the alert was triggered in many European countries for fear of emulation. In Italy people express a certain concern even if talking about real fear would seem exaggerated. Rather, there is widespread apprehension regarding the developments of the conflict in Ukraine. Just under half of Italians are seriously worried about the fact that the war could continue for many more years, but also about a possible expansion of the conflict to NATO countries or the use of nuclear weapons.
