Nine people were detained in Tajikistan during the investigation into the terrorist attack at Crocus.
In Tajikistan, arrests of suspects have begun for connections with the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow. At the moment, nine people have been detained, sources in the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan say.
The State Committee for National Security did not provide any additional information. The source only clarified that all the detainees are residents of Vahdat, a city located approximately 20 kilometers from the capital of Tajikistan. All these days, the relatives of the attackers underwent interrogation.
Russian security forces took part in the arrest
A source from the RT channel adds that among the detainees there are relatives and acquaintances of Dalerjon Mirzoev (included in Russia's list of terrorists and extremists), accused of attacking Crocus City Hall.
Moreover, representatives of Russian security forces participated in the operation to detain the defendants in Tajikistan. It is reported that local security forces are actively consulting with Russian colleagues regarding investigative measures.
The day before it became known that the family of another suspect in the terrorist attack, Shamsidin Fariduni (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists), taken from their home in the village, their whereabouts are unknown. From a house located in the village of Loyobi, 25 kilometers from Dushanbe, Shamsiddin’s father, his mother, brother, wife and 8-month-old child, as well as his mother-in-law, uncle and cousins were taken. Uncle Shamsiddin’s wife said that these were “people in official uniform.” According to her, they were taken away on March 23 in an unknown direction.

In addition, the house of the Fariduni family was sealed. The housing is located in the village of Loyob near the city of Gissar, 50 kilometers from the capital of the republic, Dushanbe. The building is made of cement blocks and looks modest. There is a police squad on duty near him.
A relative of one of the attackers collaborated with Islamic terrorists
Mirzoev's brother in Tajikistan was under the supervision of security forces due to suspicions of links with the Islamic State (ISIS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia). Ravshanjon Mirzoev came to Russia to work, then suddenly disappeared. In 2016, he left for Syria.
As fellow villagers of Ravshanjon Mirzoev said, he became interested in radical Islamism after moving to Moscow. When it became known that the man was in Syria, Tajikistan’s security forces established surveillance of the family of the terrorist who set fire to the Crocus.
In addition, Fariduni tried to involve his father-in-law in the attack on the concert hall. Two days before the terrorist attack, he invited a man to Moscow, supposedly for part-time work. According to relatives in Tajikistan, Fariduni hurriedly tried to convince his wife's father to come to the Russian capital. He promised a relative a lot of money, but did not provide details about the work, saying that he would explain everything during a personal meeting. As a result, the man refused the trip.
