In an episode of the series of tensions between the two sides, a raid on the town of Kafr Kila in the eastern sector resulted in the killing of two Hezbollah members on Wednesday night.
Israeli warplanes also launched violent raids on Kafr Kila and Khiam, accompanied by violent artillery shelling in which phosphorus bombs were also used.
Hezbollah announced that it had targeted a “movement” of Israeli soldiers with missiles at the Al-Malikiyah site in the Upper Galilee.
On Wednesday, Lebanese Hezbollah published what it said was a video of a “combined attack” using guided missiles and assault marches on an Israeli military site in the Arab Aramsha area, northern Israel.
The video showed the details of the attack operation, from the beginning of the missile’s flight and march towards the Israeli military site, until the moment it was targeted.
Hezbollah had previously announced the implementation of the operation on the headquarters of the new military reconnaissance company in Arab Al-Aramsha, in the so-called “mass center”, and they directly hit it and left its members dead or wounded.
For its part, the Israeli “Walla” website said, “The bombing on Arab Al-Aramsha directly hit a building in addition to a car.”
For its part, Israeli media revealed that the number of casualties in the “Arab Al-Aramsha” attack had risen to 18, including one in critical condition and two in serious condition.
The escalation comes after tension witnessed in the region over the weekend, with Iran launching dozens of drones and missiles at Israel, in the first direct attack launched by Iran against Israel, in response to the bombing of the Iranian consulate building in Damascus in early April.
In this context, writer and political researcher Amin Qamouria said:
Hezbollah wanted to say that it is prepared for all scenarios, that it can escalate further, and that it has solutions up its sleeve.
The major war is linked to Israel, not Hezbollah.
The Israeli response to Iran is partly directed at Hezbollah.
Iran excluded Hezbollah from its response when it attacked Israel, and it is afraid of involving the party in the war, as its importance is equal to the importance of its basic agencies, such as the Revolutionary Guard.
The party's presence on the front closest to Israel matters to Iran, so it may have spared it from entering into a battle for which it would pay the price.
