Tennis | A rude lesson for Emil Ruusuvuori from the top of the world

Russian Daniil Medvedev turned out to be a difficult opponent as expected Emil Ruusuvuori At the ATP 500 tennis tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan. In the second round match, Medvedev won Ruusuvuori 6–3, 6–2.

Medvedev broke Ruusuvuore’s pass twice in the first set and three times in the second. The match lasted one hour and 15 minutes.

The Ruusuvuori match started rough, when Medvedev, ranked fourth in the world rankings, immediately broke his serve. With the second break of serve, Medvedev secured the set win.

Medvedev broke Ruusuvuore’s first pass in the second set as well, but the 23-year-old Finn answered with his own pass break.

At the end of the match, Medvedev secured the victory with the first match point.

Medvedev is the winner of the US Open (2021) and he was number one in the world rankings in February.
