Tatiana Calderón seeks to reaffirm her Indianapolis presentation in Detroit

Tatiana Calderón returns to NTT IndyCar Series action in Detroit this weekendaiming to build on his strong performance in Indianapolis.

At the Indianapolis GMR she finished 15th, after leading a lap, in her No. 11 Dallara-Chevrolet.

Calderón will try to use the lessons of his first four races to get another good result this weekend at the Belle Isle track.in Detroit, the third urban circuit of the calendar of the 12 races in which the Colombian participates in this 2022.

Belle Isle has hosted IndyCar races since 1992, though this year’s race will be the last before the event moves to a new downtown circuit next year. The 3.78km layout features 13 low and medium speed corners, making good traction essential. The nature of the layout with multiple undulations and surface changes makes braking stability another key factor to consider.

With the practices prior to qualifying on Saturday, Calderón faces another very steep learning curve, but encouraged by her good performance at Indy, the Colombian driver is enjoying the challenge and hopes to revalidate her previous result with another striking performance.

“It seems like a long time since my last race in Indianapolis, but we left with a good feeling and now we understand better how I like the set-up of the car.. Detroit is another new track for me, it looks very challenging with the undulations and surface changes so I’m looking forward to discovering it; We have done a lot of work on the simulator and I have watched a lot of videos on board to prepare myself. Now I’m looking forward to driving again and I’m aiming for another good result,” said Calderón.
