Last week was one of the most complicated in the history of Pumas. The feline team experienced a resounding and painful double failure, first, in the CONCACAF final in their visit to Seattle, the UNAM team was exhibited on the scoreboard and in the process of the game by the MLS team. Later, during his visit to Chivas, Pumas competed as far as he could, but in the final minutes he broke down and the team ended up thrashed.
This double failure will generate imminent changes within the institution. The first two have already been finalized, the departures of Rogeriro and Saucedo by order of the club. In addition, the felines are getting closer to losing their two great references, Juan Ignacio Dinenno and Alfredo Talavera.
Both players valued renewing with Pumas as long as the team got its ticket to the Club World Cup. After not reaching this goal, the goalkeeper and the forward could end his relationship with Pumas imminently.
Talavera ends their relationship this summer, there are no positions even close to continue, which is why it looks like the most feasible game. Dinen’s contract ends until December, those from UNAM have a margin of time to act, although it seems that the Argentine does not want to renew and is already tempted by teams that are much more economically stable than Pumas, being so, he could even be sold in the market that approaches to prevent his free ride.
