Alleged fictitious capital gains: the investigation continues
The economic and financial police unit of the Milan Finance Police went today to the Covisoc headquarters in Rome to acquire documents referring to the ongoing investigation into the capital gains of football. In the vein concerning theInterthe report drawn up by Covisoc (Supervisory Commission on football clubs) regarding 62 operations defined as “suspicious”, regarding the transfer of as many players from different teams including the Nerazzurri, but also Juventus and Napoli, was taken.
The aforementioned team changes took place between 2019 and 2021 and, as regards Juve, have already led to the registration in the register of suspects of the Juventus club and of some members, including the president. Andrea Agnelli and the former sporting director Fabio Paratici, today at Tottenham. The investigation is being conducted by the deputy prosecutor Maurizio Romanelli and from pm Giovanni Polizzi and Giovanna Cavalleriwhich already at the end of last December had acquired financial statements, contracts on purchase, sale and loan transactions and bank transactions, regarding the sale and exchange by the company of “multi-year rights on the services of certain players” for the years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
According to the accusatory hypothesis, the players involved in the operations targeted would have been evaluated for figures “disproportionate” to the actual values, so as to create fictitious capital gains and allow Inter to return to the parameters of financial fair play.
