All thanks to the huge community of Suikoden fans.
Genso Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki it’s a game for PlayStation Portable arrived in 2012 and now, thanks to a group of fans, this title can also be played entirely in English.
The project is a collaboration between German translators Twisted Phoenix Game Translation, the unofficial wiki guide of Suikoden Gensopedia, and a group of fans known as the Suikoden Revival Movement. Called Suikoden: Woven Web of the Centuries in English, the game now contains around 25,000 lines of dialogue for a total of 220,000 words.
Suikoden debuted on PlayStation in 1995 by implementing the ability to choose between different characters to create your own party. Although several games in the series have received an English localization, some have asked for the intervention of fans to overcome this language barrier that thanks to fan made translations have been able to make different players discover these series. We now know that Eiyuden Chronicle, Suikoden’s spiritual successor, is in development: headed by Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama, the project has raised over $ 4 million in donations. The game is expected to arrive in 2023 on all major platforms.
