The Emirates Foundation for School Education informed government schools that school hours on Fridays, which are on April 22 and 29, will be “remotely”.
According to a circular issued by the Foundation, the third semester will start on April 18, and work will be in attendance from Monday to Thursday for students and administrative and educational staff, while it will be remotely for students and administrative and educational staff on Friday 22 and 29 April.
The Foundation set the frameworks for organizing work for school days during the month of Ramadan in total, which came in 11 frameworks, which included the number of official working hours for staff and teachers, estimated at five and a half hours a day from Monday to Thursday, while it will be 3 hours on Friday, so that the total weekly hours for teachers and cadres 25 hours per episode.
According to the circular, the working hours of the administrative and educational staff start from 9 am to 2:30 or from 8 to 1:30 during the days from Monday to Thursday.
As for Fridays, which will be remotely, the working hours of the administrative and educational staff are from 9 to 12, or from 8 to 11.
The Foundation reduced the number of 5 classes from the basic quorum for the weekly classes of activity materials, so that it turned to self-learning, while the number of classes for the first episode from Monday to Thursday will be 6 classes, except for Friday, which includes only 3 classes.
Regarding the number of classes for the second and third episodes, the circular stated that it will be from Monday to Thursday, with 7 classes, except for Friday, with 3 classes, and the duration of the class will be 35 minutes, with two breaks per day.
The Foundation has given flexibility to start students’ work hours at nine or eight, so that bus routes and schools shared in the lines are taken into account.
