Buying online today is no longer as risky as it used to be, since there are different security filters that both sellers and buyers must approve before carrying out any type of transaction. From time to time it happens that online stores get the price list wrong, but the recent case of MediaMarkt It is something truly extraordinary.
MediaMarkt is an electronics store located in Europe which recently suffered from a catastrophic error. It happens that consoles, video games, controls, and other accessories of gaming they were sold for just one euro cent, and many users even bought different products at this price.
As I was saying before, there were buyers who did buy several products at this price, although at the moment we do not know if MediaMarkt will honor transactions. They haven’t commented on it either, but it’s easy to assume that they’ll probably be canceling all purchases that were made as a result of this bug. At the time of writing this has already been solved, but again, the online platform has not commented on it.
Publisher’s note: We have seen that this type of thing has also happened here in Mexico, even in physical stores where a misplaced comma or period in the price causes items worth thousands of pesos to be sold for much less than that. I don’t know how things work in Europe, but I wouldn’t want to be in MediaMarkt’s shoes right now.
