Avatar 2 It is already a reality and fans who were captivated by the first installment in 2009 are very attentive to any news or preview of James Cameron’s film. Now the president of 20th Century Studios, Steve Ashbellhas revealed that we are not ready for the long-awaited sequel.
“It’s going to blow people away. You’re not ready for what (director James Cameron) is doing. This isn’t just a sequel, it’s a saga. And it’s a family saga,” Steve Asbell confessed to The Hollywood Reporter.

On the other hand, he added that Avatar 2 could be enjoyed as an independent film, that is, without the need to see the first one, but at the same time the already known characters adapt very well to a sequel: “(Avatar 2) will be compelling on its own, but it will also be extremely compelling to go back to those characters and see how they’ve evolved.”
“It’s less about Avatar being a great movie and more about how Avatar was a really important cultural moment for audiences. I don’t think it will be difficult to convince people to come back,” he continued.

There are five Avatar films and although the first productions of the saga have been postponed multiple times, Avatar 2 and 3 are ready to come to light. These are already scheduled to hit theaters on December 16, 2022 and December 20, 2024, respectively.
Avatar 4 and 5 are expected to be released in 2026 and 2028.
