All Stellantis vans are getting a facelift in one fell swoop. And there are a lot of them.
On this quiet Monday afternoon we are suddenly inundated with company car news. There is a facelift for the Opel Combo, the Opel Vivaro, the Opel Movano, the Peugeot Partner, the Peugeot Expert, the Peugeot Boxer, the Citroën Berlingo, the Citroën Jumpy, the Citroën Jumper, the Fiat Scudo, the Fiat Doblo and the Fiat Ducato. In other words: all Stellantis vans.
Because you are probably not interested in twelve articles about commercial vehicles, we will discuss all these facelifts in one go. That’s useful anyway, because the technology is the same everywhere.
More range
In the technical field, the biggest news is that the electric versions have been given more range. The compact vans (the Combo, Partner, Berlingo and Doblo) will have a new 50 kWh battery, which is good for a WLTP range of up to 350 km. Previously you had a 280 km range, so that is 25% more.
One size larger, with the Vivaro, Boxer, Jumpy and Scudo, you can choose between a 50 kWh battery and a 75 kWh battery. With the largest battery you have a range of 350 km. This will take you just as far as a smaller battery in a compact van.
The biggest step has also been made with the largest buses (the Movano, Boxer, Ducato and Jumper). Until now, you had a maximum range of 224 km with a 70 kWh battery. Thanks to a large 110 kWh battery pack, this has become 420 km. That’s starting to look like something.
Opel
The differences between the Stellantis vans are in the appearance. Even more than before, the vans have now acquired their own look. So are the Opels now equipped with the now well-known Opel Vizor. Only with the Movano this was a bit difficult. This bus has also been given a freshened up look, but the Movano still looks like a Fiat Ducato.
Peugeot
Bee Peugeot the new logo makes its debut on commercial vehicles. That’s not all, the Peugeot vans can also be recognized by the three striking stripes next to the headlights, which are also completely new. Just like Opel, Peugeot has also failed to give the Fiat Ducato its own face. So it’s a bit out of tune.
Lemon
Also with Lemon there is a new logo on the nose, which only very recently (last week) made its debut on the new ë-C3. Instead of the double chevron that was beautifully integrated into the grille, we now have this dated-looking logo. In the headlights of the Jumpy we also see the design language of the ë-C3.
Fiat
Bee Fiat, finally, we see the most minimalist nose. Because these are electric vans, the grille has been reduced to a thin line between the headlights, with the Fiat logo underneath. Except for the Ducato, which still has a grille.
And that’s it, all twelve facelifts. This means we have had Stellantis commercial vehicle news for the coming years. Although, Stellantis has not yet shown the versions with a combustion engine…
