Jez Corden, a well-known Windows Central journalist, seems to suggest that State of Decay 3 will be present atJune Xbox Showcasethe new edition of the big annual presentation event that Microsoft traditionally holds at the beginning of summer.
To tell the truth, Corden doesn't specifically mention the game in question, but according to many he would have done so through a sort of pun, talking about Gears 6: “I'm excited for Gears 6 at the Xbox Showcase in June, but there's It's another game whose status I'm very curious to know,” the Windows Central reporter wrote.
In English we find the word “state”, which is obviously connected to State of Decay 3, another title in development for some time at Xbox Game Studios but of which there has been no news for a long time.
So far we have only seen the teaser
We know that State of Decay 3 is in development at Undead Labs, a team practically completely dedicated to the series in question, acquired by Microsoft years ago after debuting on the indie market with the first chapter of the series.
The third chapter was announced with a teaser trailer way back in 2020, but since then we have seen practically nothing of the game in question. The title is built on Unreal Engine 5 and should represent a notable technical evolution compared to the first two chapters.
It recently emerged that The Coalition is helping Undead Labs with development and a possible release year has also come to light, which would place it as early as 2027. At this point we are waiting to see if it will actually be present at this summer's event, from which concrete information could come.
