The scene of modders he is wasting no time and launched in record time Script Extenders For Starfield, a game still only available in early access, but which can already count on hundreds of thousands of players. After all, there are already dozens of downloadable mods, which is all to say how the modder community was waiting for the arrival of the new Bethesda Softworks title.
By comparison, Fallout 4’s Script Extender came out many months after the game’s launch, which is saying something considering that it too was a highly anticipated game that sold millions of copies.
The Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) is available for download from Nexus Mods. As explained briefly by the official description, it is a tool that adds additional scripting capabilities to the game. Currently only supports the Steam version of the game. So if you bought it in the Microsoft Store or plan to play it through Game Pass, you will not be able to install the mod.
It should also be noted that it is the very first versionnot yet complete with all the features, which will be implemented in the coming months.
What does the Starfield Script Extender do? In simple words, to create and launch more complex mods than those achievable with the basic tools. For example there are already several interesting mods that use it, such as Baka Achievement Enabler (SFSE)which prevents the game from disabling achievements when installing mods or using the console; Native HDRwhich improves support for HDR ed Enemy Friendly Firewhich activates friendly fire for all NPCs, so that opponents cannot shoot each other with impunity.
At this point, to really give modders everything they need, all that remains is to wait for the launch of the Creation Kit official from Bethesda.
