Metroid Dread finally got our hands on a few weeks ago, which means that a lot of fans around the world have already had a chance to get into the latest adventure of Samus aran. Inevitably discussions arose about its duration, but don’t worry, unlike these speedrunners, you can expect many hours of fun in this new installment.
Last week we told you about certain YouTubers and streamers that they had already managed to finish Dread in just under two hours, but it seems like this list goes on and on growing as time goes on.
We say this because in the leaderboard of Speedrun.com, eight of the fastest speedrunners have already managed to finish Dread in under 90 minutes. At the time of writing, there are 50 players with times of one hour 40 minutes, while the top 163 are about two hours.
Editor’s note: The duration of Metroid Dread has been one of its most criticized points since its launch, and although it goes without saying, you should not get carried away by the speedrunners because well, that’s what they do. Also remember that the game clock does not reflect the exact time you spent on that adventure, so if you really want to know how many hours it took you to finish it, better take the time separately.
