South Korea lost track of a missile fired in response to North Korea’s launch of two missiles over the Yellow Sea on Wednesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency.
And North Korea had previously announced that it had launched two long-range “strategic” cruise missiles over the Yellow Sea, as part of a test aimed at “enhancing nuclear capabilities.”
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported, quoting the official KCNA news agency in Pyongyang, that the two missiles clearly hit the target 2,000 km away.
The launches were conducted to further enhance “the combat efficiency and capability of deployed missiles in KPA units to operate tactical nuclear weapons and to reconfirm the reliability of the comprehensive operational application system,” according to the North’s official Korean Central News Agency.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed his satisfaction with the “high reaction capabilities of our nuclear combat forces, which have once again demonstrated their full readiness for real war to bring enemies under their control.” He stressed that this experience is “another clear warning to the enemies.”
