Although we haven't heard anything about it since last January, it seems that Sonic x Shadow Generations has made some progress, considering it was recently rated by the Korean Rating Board for South Korea.
The game in question was announced with a trailer during the State of Play in January, but since then there has been no further news about it, nor has a exit date specifies, which should still fall within this year.
The fact that Sonic x Shadow Generations was classified in South Korea could demonstrate how the title is actually getting closer to its release on the market, even if the appearance on the rating boards does not always actually reflect on the proximity to the launch.
A remaster with several new things
The rating, in itself, doesn't say much about the game, but it puts it in the “for everyone“, as one might expect for a game in the series in question, making it somehow “ready” for release.
This could happen during theautumn of 2024considering that the expected time window for Sonic x Shadow Generations is in fact the third quarter of the fiscal year, but we still have to wait for an official announcement from Sega to find out more.
The game in question is a sort of remaster of Sonic Generations, but with something new: it is in fact a collection of the best levels of the original, but reworked, expanded and improved, with a mixture of 2D and 3D graphic techniques.
There is also a new one new campaign starring Shadowwhich represents the completely new element of this chapter.
