A shooting that occurred this Wednesday (14) near a train station in Kansas City, a city located in the state of Missouri, USA, left several people injured and one dead.
The shooting took place at a time when thousands of people were on the streets celebrating the title of the local team, the Kansas City Chiefs, who were champions of the Super Bowl, the final of the American football championship, this Sunday (11).
According to city authorities, around 22 people were injured by the shots, including eight children. Three people who were shot are in critical condition.
Kansas City police also confirmed the death of one person and reported that two armed individuals were detained.
The shots occurred as people were leaving the train station area, police said.
Authorities estimated that around 1 million people were present at the celebration.
The injured are already receiving medical care and the police are investigating the motive for the shooting.
