The Russian ambassador to Poland, Sergey Andreev, confirmed to reporters upon his exit from the headquarters of the Polish Foreign Ministry, the news of the expulsion.
The source pointed out that “the persons concerned must leave Poland within a maximum of 5 days.”
He also stressed that the accusations of espionage against them, presented in diplomatic language as “activities incompatible with their diplomatic status”, were “unfounded.”
In the same vein, the Russian diplomat stressed that “Russia reserves the right to take measures in response to the Polish move.”
The Russian ambassador indicated that diplomatic relations between Warsaw and Moscow have not been severed, saying that “embassies remain and ambassadors remain.”
