Mathematically, the 'Army' could no longer get out of the last three places in the classification as it was last overall with just 15 points, the result of two wins, nine draws and 23 setbacks.

When Guillermo Ochoa's relegation with Salernitana became official, the controversial ESPN analyst, Álvaro Morales, blamed the veteran goalkeeper for sinking the 'Granata' team.
«(Guillermo) Ochoa sank the Salernitana. “It is a danger for El Tri,” said the 'Brujo', who on certain occasions has asked 'Memo' to step aside from the Mexican National Team and retire from professional football.
In the last decade 'Memo' Ochoa lost the category in France and Spain, with Ajaccio and Granada, in 2011 and 2017, respectively.
