Seat has a new head of marketing. The Spanish brand owned by the Volkswagen Group has in fact named Ignaso Prieto, who already holds the role of marketing manager for Cupra, the Seat sub-brand. The position at the helm of Seat’s commercial division will become effective starting from next November 1st, with Prieto who will report to Kai Vogler, Seat’s sales and marketing manager, and Antonino Labate, Cupra’s strategy director. Prieto succeeds Jason Lusty, who will become head of the Volkswagen Group’s strategy and marketing.
“The appointment of Prieto is strategic in the positioning of the Seat and Cupra brands, especially in raising awareness of the latter – commented Wayne Griffiths, the CEO of Seat and Cupra, through an official note – His commitment and his skills they will help us tremendously to continue growing“. As Seat recalls, Prieto boasts fifteen years of experience in the marketing and advertising sector: after having held various positions in his eight years of professional career in Nissan, joined the Spanish brand in 2015 as head of brand advertising, before becoming head of sponsorship and social media two years later. In January 2020, he was appointed head of marketing for Cupra.
