Wilson Morelo was once again key for Santa Fe this Monday, scoring the three goals in the 3-1 victory against Bucaramanga, a result that puts the team led by Martín Cardetti among the top eight in the 2022-I League.
Morelo gave a class of opportunism in the first stage, when, at 22 minutes, he anticipated the defense in a free kick by Hárold Gómez and put his left foot almost in the beard of goalkeeper Juan Camilo Chaverra to score the 1- 0.
Then, at minute 9 of the second stage, the ‘cardinal’ gunner received a great pass from Yéiler Góez to score the 2-0 that gave Santa Fe peace of mind.
A slight reaction from Atlético Bucaramanga allowed him to reach discount, at 18 minutes, when Juan Gabriel Marcelín scored the 2-1 after a long rebound left by goalkeeper Leandro Castellanos, without fault in the score.
But Bucaramanga took longer to settle than Morelo to score the third. At minute 22 of the second stage, he scored again, this time from the right, after a clearance by Juan Sebastián Pedroza.
“I’m happy for the round game we played. The team played very well, we had the ball, we created many goal situations. Thank you very much to those who accompanied us, it was not an easy schedule,” Morelo told Win Sports at the end of the game.
Santa Fe, with 5,435 spectators in the stands at El Campín, washed its face after its previous presentation at El Campín and now seems to be heading towards the home run classification. With a scorer like Morelo, everything is easier.
