Still record audience: the fourth evening gathered 11 million and 378 thousand spectators with a share of 60.5%
Fans don’t think about the charts and take pictures of any singer who looks out of hotel windows – even those they don’t recognize – but bookmakers are less romantic. A few hours before the Sanremo final, the betting board sees Mahmood and Blanco in the lead ahead of Morandi and Elisa (a woman hasn’t won since Arisa’s time, in 2014), then Irama and Sangiovanni. After all, the ranking with which tonight’s race will start reflects similar positions: “Chills” on pole in front of “Open all doors” and “Or maybe it’s you”. A grid determined by the evening of the covers, that of Thursday, in which the presence of Jovanotti has pushed a lot the piece of Morandi, winner of the stage. The song Lorenzo wrote for the Bolognese veteran didn’t have the same impact on his debut. And the others? The young Irama and Sangiovanni are, at the moment, immediately under the official podium; in the top ten still appear Emma, the list representative, Massimo Ranieri and Fabrizio Moro. The peak of ratings, in absolute values, was reached at 22.15 with 16,388,000 spectators, when Achille Lauro gave the roses to Loredana Bertè (confirming how the musical charts do not coincide with the emotional ones: Lauro is eleventh ). The peak of share was instead touched at 23.25 with 67.3%, when Jovanotti took the stage with Amadeus. In short, the people show formula pays more and more. Social – And social networks smile: if Emma is the artist who collects the podium of tweets – according to the analysis of Identità Digitale – TikTok reports that the hashtag # Sanremo2020 has exceeded 350 million views and that only with “Chills” 1000 videos inspired by the piece were created. While Shazam places among the most listened to a song not close to the medals such as “Ciao Ciao” by the Representative of the list, confirming the variety of judgments and instruments with which we “throw” the music.
