The application is launched today after “weeks of intense tests and functional tests” and has the objective of “gathering in one place all the official content of the party, allowing citizens to stay informed in a simple and direct way about the initiatives, most important proposals and events of the PSOE, as well as being part of political life, as the new generations demand,” indicate the socialists.
The application is launched with the sight set on the 41st Federal Congress of the PSOE which takes place between November 29 and December 1 in Seville, and in it you can follow all the broadcasts live and simultaneously. However, it will continue to be used later. “The platform will allow you to interact with the content, get actively involved, as well as share information on social networks, creating an active community committed to the values of the party,” they point out.
Thematic series, news and broadcasts in real time
The platform will also include “thematic series, current news” and real-time broadcasts of the most relevant events of the party, such as congresses, press conferences and rallies, “as well as information programs that will analyze in depth socialist policies and proposals.” they add.
It will also have the historical archive of the PSOE, which the PSOE Communication department is digitizing together with the Pablo Iglesias Foundation and which “little by little will nourish the documentary collection” of PSOEplay.
With the material from this historical archive, they will be carried out «exclusive and unpublished productions about the 145 years of history of the PSOE and its role in the evolution of Spanish society. In addition, the platform will offer “thematic series focused on fundamental pillars of socialist ideology, such as equality, labor rights, health, education and sustainability.”
Since its launch this Tuesday, it will have «more than 1,000 hours of audiovisual content» and uses the same technology as «Netflix or other similar platforms, so as not to depend on external solutions in the management of our audiovisual material and archive and make it available to everyone.» However, the party will not abandon platforms such as YouTube, where it broadcasts public interventions by its leaders.
