From the Intercontinental University, within the framework of the “Commitment for Peace” event, the candidate for the head of Government by the Citizen Movement, Salomón Chertorivski, made a strong call for the construction of a State policy to address the crisis of insecurity and violence that plagues the country.
Chertorivski highlighted the importance of understanding that a state policy It is not decreed, but rather built through consensus and collaboration between relevant political forces, state governments, civil society organizations and national specialists.
He emphasized that this policy must be supported by concrete and sustainable actions, with the aim of comprehensively addressing the causes of insecurity and violence in Mexico.
The candidate expressed his support for the agenda proposed by the organization National Dialogue for Peacewhich is articulated around seven axes: social fabric, security, justice, prisons, youth, governance and human rights.
He considered that this proposal offers a solid and persuasive framework to address the challenges of public security in the country.
However, Chertorivski also pointed out the need to add other elements to this agenda, focused on aspects such as uncontrolled urbanization and economic transformation in various regions of the country.
He highlighted that these dynamics have contributed to the escalation of violence in places like Ciudad Juárez, where excessive population growth has generated social tensions and conflicts that require specific and focused responses.
The candidate emphasized the importance of addressing the structural causes of violence, such as social inequality, lack of economic opportunities and the absence of adequate urban policies.
Likewise, he stressed the need to strengthen the institutions in charge of public security, as well as to promote dialogue and consensus between the different political and social actors in the country.
In this sense, Chertorivsky He called to put aside political polarization and work together in the search for effective solutions to guarantee peace and security for all Mexicans.
He proposed the holding of a “National Conference for Peace and Security in Mexico”, with the participation of all political forces, civil society and experts in the field, with the aim of generating a space for dialogue and reflection that allows move towards the construction of a State policy in this matter.
