Resident Evil Village has sold more than 10 million copies: Capcom announced it, updating the sales data of the latest chapter of the famous survival horror series to March 31, the closing date of the fiscal year.
Published in May 2021 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and then also arriving on Nintendo Switch in the cloud version and on iOS, Resident Evil Village currently stands as the third best-selling episode ever of the saga.
The ranking sees in fact in first place is the remake of Resident Evil 2, followed in second place by Resident Evil 7 biohazard and then by Resident Evil Village. Fourth and fifth place go to Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, respectively.
The charm of gothic horror
Welcomed by the international press with excellent ratings, Resident Evil Village undoubtedly owes its success also to him Gothic horrorwhich replaces the classic zombies with traditional European monsters including vampires, werewolves, sea creatures and disturbing witches.
