Candidate of Biological Sciences Fedorov announced the risk of hepatitis in the flood zone
In Russian territories flooded due to floods, there is a threat of the spread of African plague, hepatitis and malaria, he warned in a conversation with RIA News Candidate of Biological Sciences, Director of the Green Civilization ANO Dmitry Fedorov.
He explained that peak floods lead to a deterioration in the sanitary and epidemiological situation and the formation of favorable conditions for the development of pathogens of various diseases.
“Flooded floodplains and warmed shallow waters are a very good ecological resource for the mass reproduction of various types of mosquitoes, including those that carry malaria pathogens,” the expert said.
