In connection with the spread of calls to participate in protests online, the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) reminded citizens of their responsibility for holding unauthorized events. The corresponding statement was published on site departments.
“When responding to provocative appeals, one should be aware of the negative legal consequences of these actions in the form of prosecution up to criminal liability,” the ICR warns.
They also reminded that the presence of a criminal record entails negative consequences and leaves an imprint on the subsequent fate.
A warning released also the metropolitan department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It refers to the inadmissibility of uncoordinated public events and other violations of the law.
“In connection with the calls to participate in public events in the center of Moscow that are spreading on the Internet, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Moscow informs citizens that they have not been agreed upon in the prescribed manner by the executive authorities,” the appeal to citizens says.
Earlier, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that the videos spread on social networks with mass casualties among the civilian population in Ukraine were staged.
