RaHDIt group hacker: home TVs can monitor and listen to owners
Household appliances – vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, TV – can be used for surveillance and listening, warned an anonymous member of the Russian hacker group RaHDIt, reports RIA News.
The hacker explained that now most TV models are directly connected to the Internet, they are equipped with cameras and microphones. The TV itself is a small computer, so with certain manipulations it is even possible to gain access to a microphone, TV cameras for remote surveillance of their owners and wiretapping of what is happening in the room, he said.
Earlier, the Russian hacker group RaHDit identified Russian citizens collaborating with Ukrainian military intelligence. 2.5 thousand people appear in the documents. Among them are drug addicts, as well as those convicted of robbery, robbery, arms and drug trafficking, burglary, grievous bodily harm and rape.
