Analyst Zhilin called the transfer of Boeing precision-guided projectiles to Ukraine a dangerous trend
The transfer of new high-precision small-diameter land-based GLSDB charges to Ukraine by Boeing is a very dangerous trend, according to military analyst, reserve colonel Alexander Zhilin. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he named the possible consequences of such a step.
“The point is not to send them immediately, but to start producing these munitions. There is no time-criticality for the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces), what will be taken and delivered tomorrow. But the trend itself is far-reaching. Until today, with the exception of border areas, Ukraine has not launched strikes against Russia. And it’s not just about artillery, it’s about much more terrible. The main thing is not to cross the line beyond which terrorist attacks will begin, ”he explained.

After the start of Russia’s special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, Kyiv received large stocks of this type of weapon, Alexander Zhilin notes.
“The problem for the Russian armed forces is that Ukraine has been supplied with high-precision weapons – multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) HIMARS and many others. As for ammunition, there is one sign: if, in preparation for an offensive, we see that they use ammunition two or three times more than military logic requires, then this ammunition is inundated, otherwise they would not have used it like that. And I see that they use it with interest, they beat in a black way, ”he concluded.
Earlier, the American corporation Boeing offered the Pentagon to send new high-precision and long-range GLSDB projectiles to Kiev. Their range reaches 150 kilometers. They can also be used with HIMARS systems. According to Reuters, the US Defense Department is exploring the idea. If approved, the first batches will arrive in Ukraine in the spring of 2023.
