Russia launches massive attack on Ukraine with 120 missiles and 90 drones

This Sunday, during the night and also in the morning, Russia launched a massive attack against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, with 120 missiles and 90 drones, as reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The leader assures that the Ukrainian air defense forces have managed to destroy 140 of the air targets.

“There has been a massive combined attack in all regions of Ukraine. During the night and morning, Russian terrorists used drones of various types, particularly ‘shaheds’. Cruise, ballistic and air missiles: ‘Zircon’, ‘Iskander’, ‘Kinzhal’. In total, about 120 missiles and 90 drones. “Our air defense forces have destroyed more than 140 air targets,” he stated in a message on Telegram.

Zelensky added that the Russians’ target was energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine and indicated that unfortunately there are facilities that suffered damage from impacts and falling debris. In Mikoláyiv, a drone attack left two people dead and six others injured, including two children, according to information from the president, who has expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

He has also pointed out that there are areas without electricity supply and has stated that all the necessary forces will participate in the debris removal and restoration efforts. Zelensky thanked all the air defense forces that participated in repelling this attack: anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation – F-16, Sukhoi and MiG pilots -, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units. “Everyone worked in an organized manner. Thank you for your reliable protection!” he wrote.
