The Ministry of Sports of Russia organized an operational meeting with representatives of national sports federations to discuss support measures and draw up a schedule of tournaments. This is reported on website Equestrian Federation of Russia.
During the meeting, it was decided that the majority of Russian sporting events in the future will be focused on the CIS and BRICS countries. Negotiations are already underway to create common sports leagues with these states.
In addition, all-Russian competitions can now have an open status, which will allow citizens of other countries to take part in such tournaments.
Against the background of the events in Ukraine, Russian athletes were deprived of the opportunity to participate in international tournaments. The country also lost the right to host already planned events: the Ski World Cup, the Champions League final, the European Karate Championship, the Formula 1 Grand Prix stage, the World Chess Olympiad and others.
